How did you get into film?
It all started when I was about six. My dad lent his video camera to my best friend and I. We made a cheesy action figure video. Eventually I discovered YouTube and got my own video camera so I could make a few videos per month.
Who inspires you?
No modern moviemaker can list inspirations without Steven Spielberg’s name. He and Alfred Hitchcock are undoubtedly my biggest inspirations in the film industry. George Lucas definitely inspires me as well.
How difficult is it to make a movie?
Making a movie can be tough, even if you know what you’re doing. It’s definitely a process unlike many others. There’s a lot of time commitment needed in making a movie.
Your movie could take an hour or a year to make depending how long you want it to be and how much effort you put into it. No matter what, though, it always feels so rewarding to watch the finished product.

Get lost in Philadelphia's Christmas village
The “Village” is a German Christmas Market that opens up shop in front of City Hall every holiday season from Thanksgiving to Christmas Eve. With over fifty vendors one can buy just about anything, making it the perfect place to buy gifts for the holiday season. This year I decided to return, and two burnt crepes, a few pigeon attacks, many wrong turns later, I think I’ve got a handle on the Christmas Village. [more]
Holiday movies throughout the years
Maybe it was the unusually warm weather or the delay in the NBA, but somehow the 2011 holiday season has snuck up on us. It feels like we were just finishing Thanksgiving leftovers when cars began to drive by with Christmas trees strapped to the top. With all of the typical high school melodramas plaguing our everyday lives, it can be hard to remember to enjoy December’s holiday cheer. This is why I am presenting you a list of the top ten holiday movies that have appeared throughout the years that encapsulate the true spirit of the holidays. [more]

Modern day appeal in 19th century literature
For most people, reading a novel that takes place in 1800s England does not spark much excitement. However, from murder to secret affairs to strong desire, novels like Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen are the opposite of boring. These timeless stories have remained popular for over 150 years and are cultural icons. They are uniquely focused on strong female characters that lived in a time where marriage and manners were all that mattered for women. [more]

Conspiracy in the mainstream music industry
All you thought you knew about the music industry is about to be shattered. Never before has such dastardly news shaken our world—a world that will never be the same. The artists, who produce the tunes teens love to bop to, are in an overt embrace with the devil. Rihanna, Lady Gaga, LMFAO, and more. This issue is not one to be taken lightly—all who have the supple ears to listen will be invaded with their message. [more]

From reading and sharing, to skimming and deleting
Whether buying your summer reading books, browsing the aisles for a new novel, finding your favorite band’s latest CD or just enjoying a drink at Seattle’s Best, Borders Book Store was always a favorite destination of people throughout the Main Line. After its disappointing close in September of this year, Lower Merion residents will no longer be able to stop by the Wynnewood location for books, music or coffee. [more]
From poetry to idiocy: rap's message in decline
Let’s take a look at Nas. Would anyone argue that Life is Good (2011) is in anyway as great as Illmatic (1994)? “The World is Yours” (released in 1994) references: Hitler, Gandhi, and the Bible. The song delves into inequality, the cycle of poverty, escaping death, murder, drug trafficking, and surviving in undesirable conditions–need I say more? Compare these thoughts and, might I add some awesome beats of the 90’s, to his most recent release in 2011. In the song “Nasty”, Nas makes references to: Remy Martin (champagne), Porsches, semiautomatic guns, Maseratis, Bentleys, and Bugattis. The song discusses sex, drugs, alcohol, and money. Nas literally says, “You are your car.” [more]
Skyrim's open-ended fantasy world
Have you noticed that all of your gamer friends have dropped off the face of the earth? Have they become pale, sleepless, or frightened by the suggestion of leaving the house? Perhaps you’ve noticed the almost twofold enlargement of the neck beards on such people? Or maybe, maybe you’ve just heard the word “Skyrim” on the lips of passersby. What gives? [more]
