Maybe it was the unusually warm weather or the delay in the NBA, but somehow the 2011 holiday season has snuck up on us. It feels like we were just finishing Thanksgiving leftovers when cars began to drive by with Christmas trees strapped to the top. With all of the typical high school melodramas plaguing our everyday lives, it can be hard to remember to enjoy December’s holiday cheer. This is why I am presenting you a list of the top ten holiday movies that have appeared throughout the years that encapsulate the true spirit of the holidays. The holidays are a time to step back and be thankful for the people in our lives. All of these films share a common theme of the importance of friends and family, which is why they have transcended the years so successfully. So turn on one of these DVD’s, put on your Snuggie, and embrace the Christmas joy. Whether you are opening gifts or eating Chinese food, these timeless classics will lift your spirits.
